As a forward-thinking, Freelance Software and Web developer based in Newcastle, NSW, I am driven by a deep-rooted mission to shatter the limitations of traditional development. With an unwavering desire to explore uncharted territories, I seek to forge new paths and unleash captivating experiences.
My path in software development took an unconventional route, defying the expectations of my typical Asian family. While my parents envisioned me as an engineer or doctor, my heart was captivated by the wonders of nature. I found solace and joy in getting lost amidst majestic mountains, embarking on long hikes, and spending hours mesmerized by the beauty of waterfalls. Fueling my passion, I delved into the study of Botanical Science during my early academic years. In 2017, I proudly completed my Botanical Science degree in my home country, solidifying my connection to the natural world.
While pondering my future in Botanical Science, I found myself immersed in solitude, deep in thought. However, fate had a different plan in store for me when, by a stroke of serendipity, I accidentally stumbled upon the website of W3Schools. An unexpected surge of excitement coursed through me as I glanced at the first tab, which happened to be about HTML. Without hesitation, I followed the provided instructions, opening an empty text file and successfully executing my very first code: "HELLO WORLD." A rush of joy overwhelmed me, and in that moment, I realized there was no turning back. The world of software development had captured my heart, leaving me with no choice but to embark on this new and exhilarating journey.
After arriving in Australia, I continued my pursuit of knowledge and successfully completed a Bachelor of Information Technology with a specialization in Systems Development. Determined to broaden my skill set, I delved into various coding languages including C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, and more. Through dedication and perseverance, I honed my abilities and gained expertise in diverse domains. Leveraging my newfound skills, I embarked on numerous projects, ranging from the creation of captivating e-commerce websites to engaging game development. Each endeavor served as a stepping stone, further fueling my passion for software and web development.
Indeed, it may seem from my journey that I have a strong inclination towards web development. However, when it comes to choosing between software and web development, the answer is quite simple: I don't have a preference. I genuinely love what I do, and that includes all aspects of development. Whether it's creating software applications, crafting compelling websites, delving into UX/UI design, or even exploring the realm of graphic design, I find joy and fulfillment in all these endeavors.
Beyond my professional life, I have an insatiable wanderlust that draws me towards hidden gems nestled in mountains and secluded forests. Exploring these serene and mystical places brings me a sense of tranquility and adventure. When it comes to embarking on thrilling adventures, the word "No" will be completely removed from my dictionary. He He....
